Chioggia...

Chioggia is a wonderful city on the Venetian lagoon that is about 40 kilometers from Venice; and is rich in culture and traditions. Characterized by typical Venetian canals and bridges, the city of Chioggia has an ancient tradition: fishing! The fish is marketed thanks to a very famous market, the Chioggia Fish Market. It is located between the city’s main square, Piazza del Popolo, and the Vena canal, in close proximity to Palazzo Granaio. It is composed of about thirty fishing posts, called with the typical name of mògnoli. To access it you have to go through the Portal in Prisca, and it is a truly unique experience, as well as visit the cathedral, Corso del Popolo, Piazza Vigo and the church of San Domenico.
